No Crocodile Tears: Apollo’s Temple
“It’s quite alright,” Jane assured Eione. “Everything seems to be fine now, and that’s what matters.” She took a bite of her salad, smiling as she ate as if to prove that everything was alright.
As soon as the nymph left, Jane turned towards Meg. “I wonder if I might have liked whatever it was they gave me to begin with. Do you happen to know what it was called? I might have to order it some other time.”
Meg chewed a forkful of beans before answering Jane. “That was Youvetsi, or kritharaki pasta and lamb,” she explained. The fork bounce up and down in movement with her words. It was a habit she did not notice. “You can have chicken or beef with it. It is a popular dish, flavorful without being too spicy, but not spicy in the hot sense.” A thoughtful expression crossed her face. Then she stated, “You may like it.”
Jane nodded, trying to remember the name of the dish for later. “Perhaps I will order that the next time,” she told Meg. She noticed the young woman in front of her seemed a bit more comfortable with the situation, making Jane smile. She hated seeing people uneasy, and she had been thinking she was being a bother for a while.
The setting sun had dimmed the area around the women. Suddenly, it grew noticeably more dim than the slow decent of the star. A spotlight clicked on the single chair next to the microphone on the stage. The chair was now occupied by a man. A handsome man with a sad, world-worn face. He began with a poem about lost love.
“He’s doing better than I thought he would,” Meg commented, recognizing the amazing, mythological poet. “That’s Orpheus. He lost his wife recently to Hades.”

Mi dispiace mille! I am so sorry for my sudden and unresponsive absence! Finals hit hard. They creep up on you fast and furious sometimes. Now I am in the midst of packing to return to the States! So…
When you reblog at the top it’ll have “reblog link”, click on “As…” next to it and select “reblog as text”. that should fix it!
———————————-
Is that a ‘GoogleChrome’ or Firefox thing? Because I do not think my Safari does not appear to have that…
Also! I wish to join the tea party, but I will not have time to join until tomorrow (tis night here, and night, and farewell get-togethers are being spontaneously sprung on me). Very sorry, but I cannot wait to join!
No, it’s part of Tumblr! Just when you reblog the link and it takes you to the text box, look right above the “title” line, it’ll say Reblog … and there’s a small gray box that says “as…” and when you click it, text is an option.
:O Wow! Thanks! ^_^

So I will still be not posting consecutively until Monday, probably. But then I will be in a time zone close to everyone else! Thank you for your patience. ^_^
I will respond to threads I find that need it to tide ya’ll over until I can respond again.
YAY! Our characters haven’t had a chance to interact yet, but still, YAY!

Yes! I cannot wait!! <3
Also, if anyone can explain this to me, I have been having difficulty reblogging posts for a while now. I always have to copy and paste the conversation back in the reply because the thread is judged too long and gets cut off with ellipses… It is quite annoying because it messed up the Tumbr format. I’m getting fed up with it, really. xD
A Whole New World: On Jasmine’s Wall
“Greece? I think Carpet took Aladdin and I there once.” Jasmine looked at Meg as she talked. She wasn’t dressed for travel, unless in Greece it was practical to expose your feet to unknown conditions. “You get in troublesome situations often?” The thought sounded plausible. “Would you like to stay in the Palace?” Meg clearly needed to rest and regain her strength. Jasmine didn’t plan on taking ‘No’ for an answer though.
Meg snorted. “Troublesome situations? Most definitely.” She remembered the missions Hades sent her on. All the time, the greek mythological monsters and figures tried to flirt their way out of it, causing her grief at every turn. “Normally it is not so self-imposed, though,” she admitted.
“You’d let me stay here?” Her eyes grew wide as she took in the splendor of the Palace. It was huge from afar, and magnanimous when she was practically under it. With her latest shock and the prospect of this one, her mind could not make heads or tales how she should react. Her independent heart wanted to find a place to settle in herself, but the Palace intrigued her greatly. How could she pass up an opportunity to explore it? “I do not want to impose…”
Jasmine laughed, “Well we’ve got that in common.” She thought of all the random and strange things she tended to dabble in.
“Of course I would.” The far off look in Meg’s eyes made her smile slightly. “It’s more than okay. We’ve got tons of rooms in the Palace.”
The Palace certainly was too grand for Meg to consider, but what other time in her life would she get to be in such a place? She took one more look at the grandeur before taking a deep breath to respond.
“I would love to stay!” Meg grinned from ear to ear. Like a school girl, she gripped Jasmine’s hands, bouncing up and down. “Oh, this is so amazing, thank you! Can you give me a tour?”
((OOC: Oh gosh, tours again… let’s try to make it really really cool, okay? Like, find a room with some weird theme, accidentally get lost in a secret dimension, find Jafar’s secret passage…))
No Crocodile Tears: Apollo’s Temple
“When eating out, yes,” Meg responded. She licked some of the sauce off her lips before dabbing the rest off with a napkin. Comfortable in the atmosphere, she leaned against the back of the chair with her legs to the side. The stage had begun to light up. Whoever was playing would be up soon.
The woman continued, “It is simple and easy to make, and standard to have right before a meal. Talking about the meal, it should be coming soon…” She glanced at the table hungrily, waiting for the food to appear like it had before.
Jane was looking up at the stage, occasionally nibbling on the appetizers. She was quite excited for the entertainment to start up. The food had been good so far, so hopefully whoever was setting up on stage would be as well.
She wanted to ask Meg more questions, but at the same time she didn’t want the young woman to make more comments about dates. That was definitely not Jane’s intention when she asked for a guide.
The air on the top of the table shimmered and warped. Then, pop! The food appeared in front of the young women. Meg looked at the dishes and realized that neither was the course each of the ordered. “Um…” She surveyed the area to try to caught her nymph friend’s attention.
Eione came over to make sure everything had made it alright. “How’s—?” she noted the discrepancy in the plates. “Oh dear, wrong orders.” She waved her hand and the plates dissolved into the air. With a huff, she stomped over to another waiter in front of a screen. The satyr was in charge of channeling the magic to send the plates to the tables. After a short confrontation, with Eione being an intimidating force, he scrambled to rectify this mistake.
The table repeated its routine. Cabbage salad in front of Jane and the bean dish in front of Meg. Eione returned. “I’m sorry about that!” She glared in the direction of the satyr. “We have some new staff.”
“It’s quite alright,” Jane assured Eione. “Everything seems to be fine now, and that’s what matters.” She took a bite of her salad, smiling as she ate as if to prove that everything was alright.
